Ugh, Morgan

Which would you rather do:

  • List to Mr. Morgan do color commentary during ESPN/Baseball
  • Listen to the game on the radio 5 seconds ahead the TV
That was our quandary. We choose the second. Neither of us can stand Mr. Morgan. By the way, some of us also do not like Mr. Buck on FOX, I actually like him. Gimme Jerry and Don, or Kruk and Kuip, or ... How did are these people picked to do nationally televised games?

Now this is announcing: "Have some pizza!"

why not just pause the game with tivo for 5 seconds and then hit play? ummm, duh.

Or you can do like alan does: install surround sound and then turn off the center speaker. ta da, no more announcer, but all the other sounds of the game.

You only have that dilemma IF your team gets ON ESPN in the first place. Something our lowly team doesn't have to worry about too much. I for one can't stand most of the ESBN (that's be the Eastern Sports Biased Network) commentators.....I vote for the radio broadcasts when we are in that situation.....

I would've chosen the radio as well.
And I cannot *stand* Mr. Buck. Ugh, he makes me want to kick my beloved TV.

I would throw my pizza at both Joe Morgan and Joe Buck. Too bad our game on May 2 will only be on NESN. More pizza for me!

just a follow up to Eric's tivo question: if we paused the game on tivo, then the radio would be 10 seconds ahead of the game instead of 5. thanks a lot, Justin Timberlake.
what we need is "RaVo" so we can pause the radio to be on the same delay as the tv.

How is a RaVo street sweeper gonna help here. OK, I may not be as smart as Justin Timberlake, but at least he is 'N Sync.

Sounds like a challenge for GeekMan...

Here is the idea. Use your computer to build a digital delay line. Then you can feed the computer the audio (web feed?) and delay that audio feed to match the video.

Sounds like a simple concept. Execution may be tougher...
